No. Profet is a peer-to-peer prediction market that runs entirely on free virtual Credits. Credits have no real-world monetary value -- they can't be bought with real money, cashed out, withdrawn, or exchanged for anything of value. Nothing on the platform involves real-money wagering. From trading -- prices move only because real people are buying and selling, never fixed by Profet itself. Some markets also show a reference price sourced from an independent third party (for example, a regulated exchange) purely for context, so you can see how Profet's own price compares -- that reference is informational only and never dictates what you actually pay.
Usually, yes. Profet also runs a small number of automated accounts that provide baseline liquidity so a market never sits with nothing to trade against, plus one official AI participant (visibly marked "🤖 Profet AI" on its own public profile) that trades on a transparent, published strategy. Every automated account trades through the exact same order types available to any user -- none of them get a pricing or informational advantage a real trader doesn't also have.
Each market states its own resolution source and rules. Where a market is linked to an independent, official source, that source's own published outcome decides it, usually automatically. Otherwise, Profet staff resolve it manually based on the best available information. If you think a resolution is wrong, every market has an appeal window -- staff can open a public community vote, and a genuinely bad call gets corrected, real payouts included.

By default, profit and loss as a percentage of the Credits you've actually been granted (so a newer account is compared fairly against a longer-lived one) -- but you can re-sort it by raw P&L, win rate, or forecasting accuracy instead, and filter it to just one category if you want to see who's calling Politics, or Sports, or Crypto best specifically.
