If the cumulative sum of Heating Degree Days (HDD) at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (station identifier KCVG, WMO identifier 72421) is below 1,300.00 between Oct 1, 2026 and Dec 31, 2026, the market resolves to Yes.

The official observing station is Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (station identifier KCVG, WMO identifier 72421). The specified local timezone is America/New_York. The accumulation period includes Oct 1, 2026 through Dec 31, 2026.

A Heating Degree Day (HDD) value measures how far a day's average temperature falls below 65°F. For each local calendar day, HDD equals 65 minus the daily average temperature in Fahrenheit, floored at zero. Days averaging 65°F or warmer contribute zero HDD; the excess above 65°F is not counted and does not offset colder days. For example, a day averaging 40°F contributes 25.00 HDD, and a day averaging 72°F contributes 0.00 HDD, not -7.00. The daily value is the HDD (65) figure published by The Weather Company for the station; if that figure is not published, it is calculated from The Weather Company's "Hourly Mean(F)" value, which is the arithmetic mean of the hourly temperatures reported for that day. The cumulative sum is the total of these daily values across every day in the specified time period.
