🎯 One of 2 candidates in the same event. This market trades and resolves entirely on its own -- buying Yes here pays out only if this specific outcome happens, regardless of what happens to the others. Prices across the 2 candidates are not required to add up to 100% -- each one is priced independently, the same way Kalshi/Polymarket's own multi-candidate events work. See all 2 candidates »

Rules
If the White House officially announces that the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room will be converted into a swimming pool after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2028, then the market resolves to Yes.

Only reporting from the White House qualifies for the purposes of this market. Reports that merely reference prior publications (from before Issuance) do not qualify. Republishing of content originally produced by other sources (e.g., wire services) only qualifies if the content is hosted on the outlet's official platform and the outlet is clearly identified as the publishing entity.

The qualifying publication must announce a definite White House decision that the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room will be converted into a swimming pool, whether newly built or restored from the 1933 pool beneath its floor. It must appear on a White House channel, or be posted by the President himself, including on his own social media accounts. A decision that names a future start or completion date still qualifies.

The following do NOT count:
An image, rendering, mock-up or joke that does not itself state a definite decision
Saying the idea is under consideration, that options remain on the table, or that an announcement will come later
Announcing that the press corps, the briefings or the briefing room are moving, with no pool announced
A decision to restore the 1933 pool while the room keeps serving as the press briefing room
A renovation, demolition or study of the room that does not decide on a pool
A White House official describing what the President wants or prefers, rather than a decision
A White House statement carried only by a news outlet it was given to
A pool announced anywhere else at the White House
